Any senior citizens who wish to be checked on daily will receive a telephone call from Carteret Emergency Communications each day. This call ensures that the senior citizen is safe each day. The time the call is made is requested by the senior citizen. If the senior citizen does not answer the phone call from the communications center, a law enforcement officer will be sent to the address to check the welfare of the citizen. Information is maintained in the communications center data base with emergency contacts, addresses, physical impairments and other information about the senior citizen.
