Canned Food Drive2019-01-28T08:00:00The Carteret County Consolidated Human Services Agency will host a canned food drive beginning Monday, January 28, 2019 through Friday, February 8, 2019. Proceeds will be donated to Martha’s Mission Cupboard, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and Woodville Baptist Church, which partner with Carteret County Department of Social Services (DSS) in serving their clients with nutritional needs. While DHHS projects to have sufficient funds through February for Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), the Women, Infants, and Children program (WIC) and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), the canned food drive will support these pantries with providing assistance to our community should the federal government shutdown continue. Donations to the Canned Food Drive may be dropped off to the following locations: Carteret County Health Department, Carteret County Social Services, Martha’s Mission Cupboard, Woodville Baptist Church/ACTS.
