Family Planning / Women’s Preventive Health Services helps women and men protect themselves from unwanted pregnancies and identify conditions that affect reproductive health such as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and breast or cervical cancer.

Services provided include:
  • Counseling and education about birth control methods
  • Referral for Family Planning waiver program
  • Available birth control methods are:
    • Abstinence
    • Birth control pill
    • Condoms
    • Depo-Provera
    • IUD insertion and removal
    • Ortho-Evra Patch by prescription
    • Nexplanon insertion and removal
    • NuvaRing by prescription
  • Information and referrals for vasectomy and sterilization
  • Health screening and examinations including
    • Medical exam and history
    • Pap smears
    • Breast exams
    • Pregnancy tests
    • Nutritional risk assessment
    • Screening for hypertension
    • Screening for anemia
    • Gardasil vaccine against Human Papillomavirus (HPV) for eligible patients
    • Adolescent and adult vaccines

Tests and treatment for infections: 
  • Gonorrhea
  • Syphilis
  • Vaginitis
  • Genital warts
  • Chlamydia
  • Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) counseling and testing

Payment Methods

Payment for services include Medicaid, private insurance, and sliding fee scale based on income
