CARTERET COUNTY, NC (February 19, 2024) – The Carteret County Board of Elections, in partnership with the North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE), is hosting a free educational seminar to inform residents about new voter laws and the upcoming election process. This event will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City.
Representatives from NCSBE will provide an overview of the recent changes in North Carolina’s voting laws, including photo ID identification requirements, absentee ballot procedures, and early voting opportunities. Attendees will also learn about accessing voter registration resources, understanding their voting rights, and navigating the ballot on Election Day.
“This information session is an excellent opportunity for Carteret County residents to learn about the new voting laws and ensure they are prepared to cast their ballots in upcoming elections,” said Caitlin Sabadish, Carteret County Board of Elections Director. “We encourage everyone to take advantage of this free resource and ask any questions they may have.”
