CARTERET COUNTY, NC – On Friday, May 27, Carteret County Government will reopen Radio Island beach access. Gates will open to the public at 8 a.m.
In March, Radio Island beach access was temporarily closed for visitor use for dredging maintenance of East Taylors Creek by T. D. Eure Marine Construction. The work for the project involved reusing over 35,000 cubic yards of material dredged from East Taylors Creek for placement on approximately 2,775 linear feet of estuarine shoreline along the southeast side of Radio Island.
