DSS hosts February 7 Orientation Meeting for Future Foster Parents

The Carteret County Department of Social Services is looking for people who would like to become foster parents, particularly those who can provide support, care, and advocacy.

The department will host a pop-in orientation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, at the DSS office, 210 Craven St., Beaufort, for people who are interested in becoming a foster parent.

Attendance at the orientation meeting is required in order to enroll in the 10-week preparation program. Single and two-parent families may apply to foster. Both parents in a two-parent household must attend the training.
