CARTERET COUNTY, NC (February 20, 2024) – The Carteret County Environmental Health division is relocating to a new location within the Carteret County Health Department, moving from Suite A to the newly created Land Use Center in Suite B, effective Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 8 a.m. Sharing office space with Planning and Inspections, the move aims to enhance collaboration and streamline permitting processes.
“The relocation of the Environmental Health division to share space with Planning and Inspections is driven by our commitment to elevating the level of service we provide to the citizens of Carteret County,” said Eugene Foxworth, Carteret County Planning Director. “This move offers greater collaboration among our teams, allowing us to take a more unified approach to permits, inspections, and approvals.”
The office will officially open in the Land Use Center on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 8:00 a.m.
During the transition, residents can still reach the Environmental Health division by phone at (252) 728-8499. All services and operations will continue uninterrupted during the relocation.
