[ARCHIVED] Sheriff’s Office swearing-in ceremony slated for Monday

CARTERET COUNTY, NC (December 1, 2022) – Carteret County Sheriff Asa B. Buck, III will take the oath of office at 9 a.m. Monday in a public ceremony at the Carteret County Courthouse in Beaufort.

Retired Chief Resident Superior Court Judge John E. Nobles, Jr. will administer the oath to Buck. Then the sheriff, who was re-elected on Nov. 8, will request Nobles to administer the oath to sworn personnel.

What:    Sheriff Asa B. Buck, III and CCSO sworn personnel will take the oath of office.

Where:  Carteret County Courthouse, Superior Courtroom #1, 302 Courthouse Square, Beaufort, NC

When:   Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.

In addition to the CCSO swearing-in ceremony, Carteret County Clerk of Court Ken Raper and Carteret County Register of Deeds Karen Hardesty will also take the oath of office for their respective offices.
