CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. (November 3, 2025) – Early Voting in Carteret County concluded on Saturday, marking the final days of the 2025 election season. Voters who reside within a municipality and have not yet voted will have the opportunity to cast their ballots during the Municipal Elections on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.
Polling places across Carteret County will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Only voters residing within a municipality are eligible to participate in the election.
On Election Day, eligible voters should report to their assigned home precinct to cast their ballots. Any voter in line by 7:30 p.m. will be permitted to vote. Voters may review a sample ballot, confirm their polling location, and learn more about voting requirements by accessing their voter record on the State Board of Elections website.
Following the close of polls, the Carteret County Board of Elections will post unofficial results for mail-in absentee and Early Voting ballots on the NCSBE results page. Election Day precinct results are expected to begin posting around 10 p.m., though final unofficial totals may take an hour or more depending on line lengths and the return of ballot tabulators to the Board of Elections office.
During the Early Voting period, 2,804 Carteret County voters cast ballots, resulting in a turnout rate of 10.64%.
