CARTERET COUNTY, NC (December 5, 2025) – The Carteret County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) is seeking proposals from organizations interested in providing prevention and early intervention programming for delinquent and at-risk youth for state fiscal year 2026–2027 beginning July 1, 2026.
Carteret County JCPC has reviewed the risk factors and needs of Juvenile Court-involved youth in Carteret County and anticipates receiving $208,110 from the N.C. Department of Public Safety, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, for the upcoming year. Use of these funds requires a 30% match.
JCPC issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) and began accepting submissions on December 5, 2025. The deadline for proposal submission is no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026. The following types of programs will be considered for funding:
- Mentoring Services
- Parent/Family Skill Building
- Interpersonal Skill Building
- Vocational Skills
- Restitution/Community Service
- Teen Court
- Home-Based Family Counseling
- Substance Abuse Counseling
- Juvenile Structured Day
Carteret County JCPC partners with the N.C. Department of Public Safety as part of a strategy to mobilize communities to create a multidisciplinary continuum of care that includes prevention programs for children, early intervention for juvenile offenders, and graduated sanctions for repeat offenders.
